God save me!!

We frequently come across with situations where we are no more the masters of our fate, but where we couldn’t be more than a mere spectator of our forthcomings. I am not a prolific scholar and neither a “been there done that” type person who has experienced every possible way of living life (may sound unrealistic) and now has surely an authority to preach the best way to live life, if there is any. I am just mazed up by the existence of so many theories about the Almighty, His existence, His purpose and yet none of them justifying the purpose because each one of them depicts God as seen by a person be it Prophets, Muhammads or Our very own saints. The famous picture where a man is barely able to touch god’s hand ironically shows that they, who claim to have understood the purpose of God’s existence, His powers, are nowhere but at the periphery of the vast universe of knowledge about Him.

Our belief of God being Almighty deepens our belief on one more subjective issue “Destiny”. This belief is more befuddling and stupefying than any other concept as it questions the very purpose of life i.e. to make efforts, to strive for perfection. If one believes that the end is defined, then what is the purpose of putting efforts? If one is not getting the desired result then should he take the failure as destiny or accept the challenge and put more efforts?

The fecundity of this discussion lies in the answer to the question we have been asking to ourselves since the time of Homo Habilis i.e. what one means by God.

Man created god not only to seek shelter when he is weak but to explain some phenomena which, otherwise, were inexplicable. Through generations we are taught about the greatness of Him so that we consider numerous anti-society acts as sacrilege and thus develop a mental barrier to not let pass even a thought of doing them. The best way still leads to the development of a society which augments the growth of individuals. The society where romanticism, sentimentalism, emotions prevail and which helps an individual to reach that height from where he can see numerous other ways to live life.(Now it sounds realistic!)
